We offer the Extracurricular Chinese Language Teachers Certification (ECLTC). This yearly certification program helps certify and train the Chinese language teachers for after-school programs and weekend schools.

1. Q: Who designed the ALEI certification system?
A: Our certification is carefully designed by top experts. Please refer to our team page for more information.
2. Q: How to get a certificate?
A: You would take the exam to get your certificate. A set of training course can be provided before the exam for you to study and prepare for the exam. Register here to sign up for an exam and get access to the training courses.
3. What is the format of the course and exam?
A: It's all online and remote.
4. Q: How long is the term of the certificate?
A: The Initial Certificate that is valid for one year.
5. Q: How do I renew my certificate after one year?
A: As soon as getting the Initial Certificate, you would need to obtain at least 3 credits per year in order to renew your certificate yearly.
6. Q: How do I obtain my credits during the year?
A: ALEI provides training sessions all year around for you to choose from. Joining some sessions will help you earn the credits. Each session is worth 1, 2 or 3 credits.
7. Q: Are the training sessions online, too?
A: Yes, most of them are online. We will also organize in-person events from time to time.
8. Q: I have been on sabbatical for a year or wasn't available to join training the ALEI sessions. Do I need to retake my Initial Certificate exam in order to resume my certificate?
A: No, you don't have to retake the exam. But you have two options. 1) Earn your yearly 3 training credits as soon as possible. Upon receiving your yearly 3 training credits, we will reactivate your certificate. 2) Retake the exam and pass it, so that we can reactivate your certificate immediately.
