About Us
American Language Education Institute (“ALEI”) is a branch of Flat World Foundation, Inc., a 501 (c) (3) organization (EIN: 81-3642226). It is dedicated to promoting language education through training and certification programs, staffing and consulting services and customized solutions. ALEI organizes national and global projects to develop youths' language and culture learning.

ALEI is a hub of China exchange programs for the American youths and young professionals at ages 12 to 45. We run the programs all year round. They can be customized for the needs of schools and organizations. Individuals are also welcome. Most are fully funded with its China trips. Please check our diversely themed trips around China.

Our Quality and Safety Assurance
- Carefully Selected & Trained Chaperones – All our exchange programs are accompanied by chaperones who go through a thorough interview and assessment before being selected. They then complete special training to prepare them for handling situations that may arise, ensuring students are well-supported throughout the program.
- Pre-departure Orientation & Ongoing Support – Before the program, students attend an orientation remotely covering travel tips, cultural expectations, and safety guidelines. We also set up a group chat where students (and parents) can ask questions, get travel updates, and stay connected throughout the trip.
- Trusted Partners in China – We only collaborate with well-established institutions in China that handle every detail of the itinerary, including activities, meals, and transportation. This ensures a smooth, safe, and enriching experience for all participants.
